RHLI members educate and enlighten Hamilton Tiger Cat fans

Cpl Robert Pal explains the inner workings of a C-6 MMG to this fascinated visitor to the recruiting stand set up by the Hamilton Garrison at the TiCats game September 30.

Cpl Pal explains C-6 MMG

Members of the Skyhawks precision parachute demonstration team of the Canadian Forces dropped into Hamilton's Ivor Wynn stadium displaying the Canadian and US flags during Canadian Forces day September 30th. The Drop Zone was protected by the RHLI and other Garrison troops as a demonstration of section tactics following a 'Gun Run' where two teams competed to run a disassembled C6 the length of the football field, assemble it, fire 100 rounds, then run the gun back to the start line. Later, hundreds of small promotional footballs were tossed into the crowd of more than 12,000 people.

This member of the RHLI is part of the all-around defence put into place to 'protect' the Skyhawks drop zone and demonstrate infantry tactics to the large crowd at Ivor Wynn Stadium.
