Exercise Riley Revenge, 23-25 November, 2002

It was live-fire with a vengeance during Ex Riley Revenge this past November 23-25th at LFCATC Meaford. A full range of weaponry was employed, including the seldom-used 60mm mortar (with training rounds) and the newly-issued M203 grenade launcher (also with training rounds) getting its first official workout with the RHLI.

A late-afternoon tour of the grenade bay provided some spectacular pyrotechnics using long-exposure photography. The shots provide a graphic illustration of the power of the grenade in close-quarter combat.

All in all, the weekend provided a good refresher of basic weapons skills for new and old soldier alike.
